COVID 19 has revealed the extent to which our interdependence can be costly and deadly. In the same vein, it has shown that our work together is crucial to tranform the current situation. Inequality, both local and global, is one major obstacle for solidarity and therefore has come to the forefront of our concerns and academic work. 

This course, organized by the Center for Anti Discrimination Law at Berkeley, brings together more tan 20 universities worldwide to debate, reflect and find solutions to the challenges COVID 19 posses for all. The course will be taught in English by more than forty-five lecturers from five different continents. The class will consist of presentations by the instructors, questions from students, discussion in small groups of students from multiple institutions, and multiple brief written assignments (in the nature of blog posts) to be completed in teams of three, with each team including students from different continents when possible. Topics will include Race, Migratory Status, Gender, and Poverty as they relate to the spread and effects of COVID 19.
